New Courthouse Exhibit
The Orange County Historical Society & Museum in Paoli is celebrating the 175th anniversary of the Orange County Courthouse with a brand-new expanded courthouse display downstairs in the main room. Some items pulled from the collection for the special exhibit include the original directions for winding the Courthouse Clock, weathervane, clock pendulum, tools used in the actual 1847 construction, charred remains from the 1970 fire and memorabilia from the 1950 Centennial event. Another display celebrates some of the many ways the Courthouse image itself has been remembered or reproduced down through the decades. The new display will be up through years end and through 2026. The Museum is open most Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. Admission is always Free; donations are accepted to help with the upkeep of the museum and its historic collection.
